Access Scaffolding was founded in as an aluminium division of Pacific Scaffolding in Auckland.
The initial scaffolds that were built by us were mobile towers with the occasional static scaffold, constructed out of a combination of mobile tower components and walk-through frames.
Over the past 20 years we moved into all types of scaffolding; Residential, Commerical and Industrial with all sorts of equipment; Tube and Clip, Ringlock and Aluminium Kwikstage to name a few.
Residential – We worked on the majority of the houses and units in the Dannemora and Stonefields development, as a matter of fact they are still working in Stonefields today. Furthermore we have been able to claim credit for the residential developments in Karaka Lakes, Beachlands and Gulf Harbour.
Commercial – Right through the 2000s marked a time where we was heavily involved in large construction projects. The Auckland City Hospital, University of Auckland Business School, Sky City Casino and the Eden Park renovations pre 2011 World Cup.
Industrial – Our skilled scaffolders have excelled in the tricky environments around tanks, pipes and vats. Through the 2000s we worked in the Tip-Top and Fonterra factories, recently we finished working on the Henderson Valley Compressor Station. Currently we have ongoing work at LiquiGas for their regular maintenance.
Advance Scaffold was started in 2004 to act as agents for Advance Scaffolds Australia Pty. Advance Scaffold NZ acted as a the Sales division to work alongside the existing Steel and Aluminium divisions.
In 2009 Oldfields Holdings (Australia) purchased Advance Scaffolds Australia, as a result we became the national distributors for Oldfields Scaffolds.
After becoming the national distributors for Oldfields Scaffolds, we became the stockists of both New Zealand and Australia’s most widely used scaffolding towers, the Advance 2600 Series and the Oldfields Pro-Series.
We now consider ourselves a tight knit family orientated company with virtually all of us having a relative to work alongside.
We also boast a wealth of scaffolding knowledge and experience. Amongst our crews of around 20 scaffolders they have over 100 years’ worth of experience, backed up by over 100 years of experience in the scaffolding industry from management.
Additionally all our scaffolders are either qualified or currently attending courses at Tai Poutini Polytechnic. We believe that it is important for our staff to be trained to the highest degree possible and be upskilled whenever possible.
In recent years we have expanded to start selling Ringlock Systems (Aluminium and Steel) alongside our Mobile Scaffolds, Aluminium Kwikstage Systems, Scaffold Tube, Fittings and Planks.
In 2014 we opened sales branch in Seaview, Wellington in order to cater to demand and provide customers in the Lower North Island a place to come and view our products. This was a small project initially operating out of a managed storage facilitiy, however now we have now moved around the corner to a yard on East Street in Seaview.
Our Wellington branch has grown steadily and now offers the hireage of mobile towers and an aluminium kwikstage system. Advance Scaffold Wellington is also now offering scaffolding services.
In 2017 to address the demand from the South Island we have opened a branch in Bromley, Christchurch. Currently we offer sales of our full range of scaffolding products and hireage of our aluminium and fibreglass 2600 Series, Zippy Range and Aluminium Ringlock Systems as well as a full range of scaffolding services.
